July Bee Blocks

Finished my Bee blocks for July today.

 

First up was the block for

Harmony/ do Good stitches

This block is called Octagonal Orb Block

I sure am glad I didn't have more than one to make. It was a bugger.

Not going to be making a whole quilt of these blocks any time soon!

these improv blocks of solid colors.

Container

Tonight is the PMQG monthly meeting. We are doing a swap of "containers". Each participant has a slip of paper with the  name of another swapper to make a container for. On the slip of paper there is also a little list of preferences. This is going to be fun . My swapee (not sure that is a real word) asked for teal, aqua, lime green. Here is the final product.

                                                  also made a little pincushion to go with.

I have made this Atkinson Designs pattern before "Pockets To Go" for another exchange and so was familiar with the construction. Zippers on two sides and lots of pockets inside. Hope she likes it!

sisters quilt show

Off to Sisters

    This being the second weekend in July it is time for the Quilt Show in Sisters Oregon. If you have never been it is a must on your bucket list. I was pleasantly surprised this morning with a phone call saying I didn't have to come in to work because our census was down. Yay.... I am packing my bag as I type this to head to ...... Sisters.  I will meet up with one of my sisters and her granddaughter to see the show. My Easy Street Quilt will be hanging with the PMQG group and I hope to take a picture of it there. So off I go.....
