Sunriver Weekend

This last weekend I was invited to go with a friend and her family for a birthday weekend trip to Eastern Oregon. The weather was beautiful. We snowshoed  (that was quite a workout),and some went skiing/snowboarding on Mt Bachelor, and of course we ate......lots of yummy food. I didn't do too well with the card games, but we sure had fun. Here are a few pictures.

I even managed to get a little time at the quilt shop in Sistershttp://www.stitchinpost.com/ and added these to my stash....

A most enjoyable weekend.......Makin' memories.....

Hey....What's for supper?

So today while cleaning out the fridge, I came across not one , but two heads of cauliflower. Now I don't know about you but I know it would take a long time for the two of us (Floyd /AKA mi esposo, sweetheart, valentine ) to eat two heads of cauliflower......So I started to throw one away and Floyd said "How about soup tonight" Such a wise one he is. So guess what's for supper? ............

If you haven't discovered this blog yet http://thepioneerwoman.com/  you're in for a real treat. She has so many great recipes, beautiful photos, and funny comments. It's one of my favorite. Anyway I used her recipe for the soup and I know it will be yummy.

Until next time............Jeri

Pillows

I finished these pillows for a friend. It is her birthday this week and I hope she likes them. Lately I have been playing with blocks that I have seen around on the internet. Pillows are an easy way to use those blocks. Kind of a try  it before you make a whole quilts worth.

A Beginning.......

I guess I have to start somewhere, and so today is a good day to begin. This will be a learning process. I do love to look at all the blogs out there in blogland and hope to someday be one where others will come to be inspired.
