Head in' Home

Time for me to head home tomorrow. Kind of torn, but am so glad I was able to come here and help with this tough transition. I look forward to being home, and am unsure of when I will be back, but  as soon as I can.

I was able to sw a little while I was here.here is a Christmas wall hanging that I started......

And here are a few split nine-patch blocks made with my sisters scraps.

Am looking forward to putting together my Celtic Solstice blocks.

It Does Take AVillage

Yesterday I spent a few hours sewing with my sisters. I made these house blocks for a friend who is making a quilt for another fellow quilter friend of ours. The blocks went together fairly quickly and it was nice to sew and be with my sisters. Mom sat back and supervised . Remembering good times of past Friday sewing sessions with my sisters and mom.

Today will be a difficult day as we transition mom to her new living situation.

Happy and Grateful

Stop my mind from its hungry whirl. I have been dealing with family things and my mind is going ......I have been reading many after the New Years blogs about what is your word for the year. I think I will take it week by week or even day by day, minute by minute ,the here and now at least for right now.

And so what is it right now, I think I have two words for now....

Happy and Grateful

Ringing in a New Year

Recaps...resolutions....reevaluating.....

I am spending this week with my mom and sisters. Not so happy times here . Transitions into something I am struggling with.

Celtic Solstice reveal......I know I will love my final quilt. For now I will finish my Step 5 blocks that I brought along, as I left all my other steps at home. Hey it will be my resolution for the new year to get it finished.......

Playing with my sisters clues.....love her black/white

And this one has my unfinished step 5's
Again I love her black and whites!

I finished this quilt sent to me by my sister. Love this new panto and the fabrics were so much fun. It was made for one of my other sisters on her retirement.....she is DONE!

A little bit of snow here on the ground.

A pieced back.....

Feathery panto !

For now I will spend some time with my family as we make a very tough change.
