Another finished Charity WIP

Just finished the binding and popped this one into the wash. I have had it in the flimsy stage for way too long It's a Quilts for Kids which I have done before. They come in a kit form, real simple pattern that goes together quickly. This is the website about them.

http://www.quiltsforkids.org/

Here is the finished quilt.

I used a cute leaf panto on it.

They always include a label that you personalize.

Happy Halloween , be safe out there.

I Finished the binding on this quilt today.
It was a group of blocks from January "do-Good Stitches /Harmony group.
I was asked to quilt and bind it.
The binding was done all by machine ... my go to method for charity quilts.
I like to use this method from Missouri Quilt Co.

I even had it inspected!

A little detail of the panto... "Sassy"

Now to get it sent off to it's new owner.

Mexico...Yoga...BFF's....Oh My

Jet lag today after a long return from Mexico with my very best girlfriends. We had an amazing time. What a great time to reconnect. We went to a beautiful Yoga retreat center in an outlying city north of   Zihuatanejo. Here are just a few pictures. Today I am relaxing , a little bit sunburned, and quite a few bug bites, but what memories. That's what friends are for.

We spent the majority of our days at the pool.......

The food was deliscious.....

This was our room.......

The view from our deck......

So many beautiful birds, this one was on my beach walk....

Got my toes in the water......

This was our resorts security dog.....so friendly,
and look at him on the yoga platform doing
his downward dog!

So blessed with my gal pals.....

We even helped release the baby sea turtles,
a local boy has taken on this project.

Priceless memories!

MQX West

I am off tomorrow to take a few classes at MQX (Machine Quilters Exposition) which is here in Portland this weekend.  One of my classes is with Angela Walters. She is such an inspiring blogger/quilter. I have a copy of her first book and hope to have it signed by her.

Then in the evening I am going to the PMQG meeting to hear her speak and see her trunk show. What a full day. I went last year to the MQX and enjoyed classes but mostly the vendor mall. I am looking forward to my classes again, and to spend a few hours in the vendors mall.

Here is a quilt I finished up this week for a coworker.
I was able to use a new swirl design
that I learned from Angela Walters book. Kinda fun!

See the lovely cinnamon roll swirls!

Shot cotton for the lattice.

Some beautiful vibrant Kaffe Fasset prints.

The rain has started and so I wasn't able to get
outside to take any pictures.

Such a beautiful vibrant quilt.

I will be gone for a few days. Off to Mexico for a Yoga retreat with my girlfriends!

Life By Design

here's a link to her shop site.

I have been a fan of Lisa Leonard's  jewelery for some time now and have given several pieces of her jewelery to my girls. One of my favorite necklaces that I get comments about all the time is one by her. What an amazing woman she is . I wanted to share her video with you.
