Inspirational Speaker/Amazing Quilt Artist

Last nights Westside Quilters Guild meeting was a good one. Our program featured Janet Fogg an amazing quilter. I had seen her work at a few quilt shows and have been so impressed by her beautiful longarm quilting, but to see her work up close and to hear her artistic statement about her pieces brought a whole new perspective about her work. She is one artistic quilter. I have a few pictures of some of the quilts she presented. One very talented quilter she is! Here is a link to her website. Go check it out.

This Elephant wants to be a Paris Circus Clown!

Love this Brown Bear. Beautiful piecing and quilting.

The detail in her quilting is amazing!

More amazing quilting and piecing!

This stippling was so tiny!

Close up of the Pickle Dish Blocks.

and again more amazing quilting.

These letters were quilted onto solid black.

These blocks were a rescued quilt that she turned into a Masterpiece.

Hippo Love.
Just look at that detailed piecing.

Quilting was just something. So much talent.

just Wow!

and this is one of the choices for a class she will be teaching the Guild.

A Winter Quilt Retreat

I looked so forward to our annual quilt retreat. Wouldn't you know it the major snow weather storm of the year happened on the weekend of it. I am blessed to have the husband that I do....I heard that other quilters were getting there so my husband graciously drove me down. Our place for the weekend was at the Oregon Garden Resort out of Silverton Oregon.  We did have to stay an extra day because of weather but none of us minded an extra day to sew and socialize. Even the resort employees were unable to leave . The staff was so accommodating and very gracious. I could go on and on but I will say the rest with pictures....warning this is a heavily pictured post!
