Sew Together Bag
Today I finished my Sew Together Bag.
Kind of a fiddley bag to make but I am happy with my results.
Fun to use some bright zips.
This is the outside before construction.
Remember the #4 stitch I talked about.
This was before the binding.
Cute little pincushion and needle holder inside.
The open bag all ready to fill!
Each pocket inside was a different fabric.
And the bag all finished.....
Maybe a new home for the Hexies!

Let me introduce you to one of my Go-To quilting stitches.
On my Bernina it is the number 4 stitch.
Also called the Running Stitch.
I am a big fan of straight line quilting
and this just gives the straight line a little pinache!
I am using it today on a "Sew Together Bag"
To use this stitch I put my walking foot on my machine.
Set stitch length to between 2 and 2.5
and set the width to as wide as it will go.
Then just sew back and forth across your project.
Nice little squiggle lines..... Love the texture.
Try it on a small project. It may just become one of your fav's.

Beautiful October Weekend
Our weather here is unseasonably warm.
We were fortunate to take the camper out to the coast for the beautiful weekend.
A little misty drizzle off and on, but for the most part warm and sunny!
I decided that I needed a portable handwork project to take on the go,
so Hexies it is!
The Hexie project has begun!
My first one.....
Selfie with my guy.....
Cooking outdoors. Yummy breakfast.

I do love this time of year. We are still sunny and warm here but the evenings are a bit chillier. The leaves are changing color. You can feel a change coming
I finished this bag
for a friend at work
It's the Practical Bag
Love this bag I have one
that goes to work with me.
I added a key fob to this one
as I am always looking for my
keys in my bag.
And these are September blocks
For my Sew Bee Wonky group
Off to finish my last block for group one of the Farmers Wife Quilt Revival
