After QuiltCon

I returned home yesterday after a visit to QuiltCon 2016 in Pasadena. 

I enjoyed myself. So many beautiful quilts, a few great lectures, amazing vendors, 

quilt "celebrity"sitings, and I made some new friends.

     This as beautiful in person. The quilting.....

    Love these contemporary houses.

    This one was called Catnado!

     Mary Fons was very animated in person.

     This was in a vendor booth. I watched it go together

   Loved this charity quilt.

     This was hand pieced and hand quilted!

       love the color!

     Unwinding and waiting for my ride!

Then it was off to DISNEYLAND! for a few days

    Lots of people...and lots of walking.

      A fan indeed!

     Stationary teacup, his kind of ride!

   And a little cocktail in Downtown Disney.

                 Glad to be home! Great trip.

QuiltCon 2016

Getting ready today to head to Pasadena tomorrow. QuiltCon here I come!

My first time and I am looking forward to lots of quilty goodness and people.

Gotta get packing.......

A Dash of Color

 I just love color.....

It makes me happy. 

This is my current "Leader Ender" project about halfway there. 

Made of my stash of 2 1/2 " colors and neutrals.

I also love me some Churn Dash blocks.

So I decided to throw in a few dashes here and there.

Oh I like this so far......

I finished this name tag last week.....oh look another churn dash!

But for now I must finish quilting my Grand Illusion/ it was the MQ from Bonnie Hunter 2014.

This is a big quilt....for me. 90"/90"

I'd like to have it to take with me to bind at the beach next week. My sisters are coming!
