Yesterday I had the opportunity to sit and stitch here.....

It was in the middle of an exhibit at the Washington County Museum and the displays were ahhhhmazing. If you live in the Portland area I highly recommend that you go and check this out. The display is a wonderful collection of quilting memorabilia from the past and some from the future as well. Here are a few pictures from the displays.....

The display was put together by some talented women in the Westside Quilt Guild. I was asked to sit and stitch for three hours. During that time I had a handful of visitors come through the exhibit. I enjoyed talking to one group of ladies who came to see the exhibit.

I was able to get a few blocks made as well....

What a fun way to spend the afternoon.....

Here is a link to the exhibit website. If you happen to live nearby and want to treat yourself I would highly recomment this.......

  1. That would be a great way to spend the day, but I don't think I would get any stitching done. We had our last Wednesday quilt session today (school starts don't ya know) and Janet was working on her quilt of the same pattern as the one you did recently for Jon. Have her mail you a photo of it. It is beautiful. I will try and take a picture at the quilt show this week end. Now, could I get a closer up of the squares you were building? Looks intriguing

  2. Oh THANK YOU! I had seen that and then totally forgot all about it with the craziness of so many summer activities. I'm glad they're extending it so I'll get a chance to check it out.
