Charming Pinwheels

I have another baby quilt for a special little one on the design wall. I started making these blocks yesterday using a charm pack of "Bliss". I am going to be so sad when this line of fabric is gone.....It has been one of my favs. I just love the combination of red, pink, green, and turquoise. Add a little white and wha-la.....

These were simple to make. Just layer a white and a charm square, sew around all four sides, cut into four triangles diagonally , and the sew them into the pinwheels.

I'll probably add a white inner border and then a border of one of the bliss prints. I have soft snuggley bliss flannel for the back. I'll post the finish when it is done. Fun stuff!

I had a little time this evening and finished the top....

Now to sandwich and "quilt as desired"   Jeri

  1. I've seen a magazine saying to do the pinwheels like that, sewing around two squares then cutting diagonally. Doesn't that mean that all your blocks have bias edges? Did you find this made putting the quilt together more tricky?
